Miranda Lambert Information

Interesting Facts:  Miranda’s mother and father are a Private Investigation team.

Biography: Miranda grew up in Lindale, Texas and when her parents took her to a Garth Brooks concert at the age of nine, she was hooked.  She would soon begin singing in talent contests and local restaurants.  By age 16, Miranda began to appear on Johnny High Country Music Review which helped to launch LeAnn Rimes’ career and landed a recording session in Nashville which left a bitter taste in her mouth. 

After returning to Texas, Lambert auditioned for the 2003 talent competition Nashville Star where she finished third.  By September 2003, Miranda signed on with Epic Records and released “Kerosene” in 2004. The record debuted at Number One on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart eventually selling well over a million copies.  She would tour steadily over the next two years.

In May of 2007, Lambert released “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” where she wrote eight of the eleven tracks on the disk.  She would receive a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Country Performance for the single “Kerosene” and picked up  and in 2008, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” won the Academy of Country Music Award for Album of the year.

Lambert went back into the studio in early 2009 to record “Revolution,” her third album.  Upon its release, the record led Lambert to Nine CMA nominations and awards to include Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.

In November 2011, Lambert released her fourth studio album “For the Record.”  Lambert also recorded a song for the upcoming motion picture “The Hunger Games” coming out later in 2012.
