Jason Aldean Information

Date of Formation: 2005

Interesting Facts:  Real name is Jason Aldeine Williams

Biography: A lifelong musician, Jason first learned guitar chords from his father before heading out to work and by age 14, after watching the Country Music Awards, he decided that a career on stage was what he wanted. After years of hard work in other bands, Jason was signed to Warner-Chappell and moved to Nashville at the age of 21.

The first record, “Jason Aldean” was released in 2005 and the single “Hicktown” peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.  The second single, “Why” went to Number One and “Amarillo Sky” peaked at #4. The album would end up certified platinum in 2007.  His hard work paid off big time as Aldean was named the Top New Male Vocalist at the 2006 Academy Of Country Music Awards.

On May 29, 2007, Aldean released “Relentless” which spawned two top ten hits, “Johnny Cash” and “Laughed Until we Cried” before being certified gold by the RIAA. Aldean would follow up that record with “Wide Open” in 2009 and the first single off the record, “She’s Country” debuted at #51 going number one. The album also produced “Big Green Tractor” which became Jason’s third number one hit and struck gold again with the single “The Truth” which went Number One in January and “Crazy Town” peaking at #2.

In August of 2010, Aldean released the single “My Kinda Party” off the album of the same name and later “Dirt Road Anthem” which also went Top 10.  In February 2012, Aldean released the fifth single from the disc, “Fly Over States.”
